Paddle your kayak through the intricate salt marsh trails around a state wildlife refuge. These marshes are the rich feeding grounds for many animals – horseshoe crabs, oyster catchers, osprey, skimmers, herons, egrets… just to name a few! In your kayak you’ll glide tranquilly through this environment and have an excellent vantage point to witness all of the activity. One of the highlights of this trip is our exploration of a small sandbar where you will get out of your kayak and comb the beach for a variety of beach dwellers such as fiddler crabs, starfish, moonsnails, and clams.
Our certified kayak guides give a short instructional session before the tour and also supply all of the safety gear. We use single and tandem top-of-the-line recreational kayaks. These boats are stable, comfortable, and user-friendly. (Touring and sit-on-top kayaks are also available upon request.)
