We’ll paddle the serene waters surrounding the Assawoman Wildlife Area as we explore its wooded shoreline and salt marsh ponds. Numerous Bald Eagles make their home in the tall pines here so we’re always on the look-out for these majestic birds. Osprey, Blue Heron, Great Egrets, and Red-bellied Woodpeckers are a few of the other winged critters who live and hunt in this area.
Our certified kayak guides give a short instructional session before the tour and also supply all of the safety gear. We use single and tandem top-of-the-line recreational kayaks. These boats are stable, comfortable, and user-friendly. (Touring and sit-on-top kayaks are also available upon request.)
