This tour is a unique salt marsh tour where we will explore the back bays of Assateague Island National Seashore as we search for wild life including the famous Assateague Island wild horses.
Our certified kayak guides give a short instructional session before the tour and also supply all of the safety gear. We use single and tandem top-of-the-line recreational kayaks. These boats are stable, comfortable, and user-friendly. (Touring and sit-on-top kayaks are also available upon request.)
The Assateague Island Pony Tour is located on Assateague Island National Seashore – a 45 minute drive from Fenwick Island/Bethany Beach. (We usually meet participants at the Assateague Island Visitors Center. However, we can provide transportation to the Assateague Island Pony Tour in our comfortable passenger van.)
This tour is suitable for all levels of paddlers.
Paddling time on this kayak tour is 1.5 – 2 hours – round trip with transportation is approximately 4 hours.
The price of this tour is $55.00 per person. Children 11 – 7 years old receive $10 off when accompanied by an adult at the regular price. Minimum age for the Assateague Island Tour is 7 years old. Children ages 7-11 must be in a tandem kayak with an adult.
